ABOUT

Fattoria la Scheggia is the agritourism opened by the Marchesi d'Afflitto in the 1980s' and bequeathed to their granddaughter Margherita delle Piane who is now the bearer of a her grandparents work, turning this space into wonderful guest houses.

The hamlet consists of 3 separated houses featuring one apartment each, with a total of 16 beds.

The small hamlet of La Scheggia, a 15th-century agricultural settlement, is situated on the hills separating the Tiber and Arno valleys (8 km from Anghiari and 18 km from Arezzo).

Restored in the 1980s, the apartments and cottages retain an intact imprint of rural life; offering a typical example of rural architecture of the Grand Ducal era according to the classification of the Superintendence of Arezzo.

Serving as a backdrop for Piero della Francesca's paintings, the extraordinary beauty of the ridges between the Colle della Scheggia and the Colle di Montauto has been preserved by the Landscape Restriction as early as the 1950s.

The perfect geographical location allows our guests to plan wonderfful day trips of great interest, indulging the most avid connoisseurs of both historical and architectural Italian Renaissance.
